Cheeky making of a neon letter inside cinema4D using splines
Having designed the branding for Cornerstone Paving Cornerstone paving - who specialising in paving and natural stone installations based in Melbourne - we thought it only fitting to have a logo reveal influenced by the vast variety and styles they produce.
Having a background in branding as well as photography I've come to realise just how important it is to bring an idea to life. Weather this be as simple as envisioning a new brand onto business cards, right through to a new products prototype been brought from sketch to reality. This ability to make these seemingly tactile renders has been a game changer for myself and has seamlessly integrated itself into my workflow. Hey I'm Sean Dove, and I'm a Cinema 4D user.

36 Days of Type is a project that invites designers, illustrators and graphic artists to give their particular view on the signs from our alphabet.
36 days of restless creativity, in which participants are challenged to design a letter or number for each day, resulting in an overall view of the ability to represent the same sign from many different perspectives. - A project that aims to create a space for creation around typography and its endless graphic possibilities.
It was fun to be involved in this project - I found it challenging, especially under the severe time constraints, but was overall happy with my contribution.
A piece I entered into a local design competition.
When posed the question what is design to me, my answer was that standards are constantly being raised as resources available are rapidly improving. It is such a competitive industry to be a designer, and to be successful you need to stand out. You need to raise the bar.
